North Carolina Real Estate Commission Signs with Alphanumeric Systems for TotalCare Managed Services

Independent state governmental agency chooses comprehensive approach for the ongoing support of their business critical infrastructure

February 14, 2006, Raleigh, NC—Alphanumeric Systems announced today that the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, an independent governmental agency who’s primary function is to license and regulate North Carolina’s 80,000-plus real estate agents, has joined a growing list of organizations that have signed contracts with the technology firm to provide its TotalCare managed services offering. TotalCare is a low-cost suite of offerings designed specifically to meet the business needs of small to medium organizations, providing flexible and comprehensive IT management for business-critical servers, applications, networks, and desktops.

North Carolina Real Estate Commission has chosen Alphanumeric to provide a comprehensive support package that includes 24x7 remote monitoring and diagnostics, end-user help desk, and proactive support for their entire business infrastructure- inclusive of their servers, network devices, and desktops.

Says Tim Finnegan, Director of Alphanumeric’s TotalCare program, “We are finding that state and local government organizations must have reliable, secure, and high performance information technology in order to meet the needs of an ever-expanding citizenry. By supplementing their IT support with TotalCare, North Carolina Real Estate Commission is ensuring that the environment performs at its best whenever and wherever they or the citizens of North Carolina need it.”

Facing a growing level of IT sophistication and complexity, organizations nationwide are turning to trusted providers of IT services to proactively address their technology needs. Building on its 26 years of industry expertise and client relationships, Alphanumeric is well positioned to provide this simple, affordable technology solution to small and medium-sized organizations that need to remain focused on achieving their business goals instead of worrying about the performance and management of their information technology systems.

TotalCare customers are indicating the solution is addressing pressing business needs. Fran Whitley, Director of Administration at the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, states: "In order for the Commission to accomplish our mission of protecting the public interest in real estate brokerage transactions, we must undertake a cost-effective approach to keeping our IT investments functioning at their best. TotalCare’s proactive support and constant vigilance frees up our staff to focus on projects that will advance the Commission’s mission while providing a reliable and secure environment to conduct business on today.”

In addition to the 24x7 remote monitoring and management service, the NC Real Estate Commission chose additional options that fall under the TotalCare umbrella. These additional offerings include an end-user help desk, scheduled preventive maintenance, monthly analysis and planning meetings, and technology strategy services.
