Alphanumeric Systems, Inc. sponsors the N.C. Children’s Promise Gala to benefit North Carolina Child
Alphanumeric Systems, Inc. is proud to be a “Triple Crown” sponsor of the fourth annual N.C. Children’s Promise Gala, Run for the Promise, benefitting North Carolina Children’s Hospital at UNC-Chapel Hill on Saturday, May 1.
Alphanumeric President/COO Harvey Braswell serves as Chairman of the Children’s Hospital’s Board of Visitors, and Alphanumeric owner/CEO Karen Braswell serves on the hospital’s Pediatric Endocrinology Advisory Board through her involvement with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
But as much as Alphanumeric’s sponsorship of the Run for the Promise Gala is an extension of the Braswells’ personal efforts to support the Children’s Hospital, it’s also an extension of their mission to leverage Alphanumeric’s resources to encourage philanthropic endeavors.
“We’re fortunate enough to be able to have this company, so we want to be sure to give back to our community,” said Karen Braswell.
The Run for the Promise Gala is a Kentucky Derby-themed party designed to raise awareness and financial support for the Children’s Hospital in a festive environment. Lawn games, music and a silent auction add to the festivities, and UNC football coach Butch Davis and his wife, Tammy, serve as the event’s honorary hosts.
